Man Utd promote 15-year-old wonderkid to first-team training just days before Aston Villa clash

And on Friday, the  Manchester Evening News  reported Amir Ibragimov joined in with the senior stars despite his tender age. The rising star only turned 15 a few weeks ago. But he took to social media with a photo of his  United  training shorts and red adidas boots. He captioned the image: "1st team session," followed by a green tick. It is likely those who started on Thursday night at Tottenham, including Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro, had a lighter session the day after the  2-2 draw in North London . Ibragimov is highly-rated within the United academy and seen as one of the hottest young talents, even posing for pictures with Sir Alex Ferguson. He was born in Russia then joined the Sheffield United youth set-up when his family moved to England. Since joining the Red Devils, though, he had captained the Under-14s and U15s. He will go through a scholarship at United and is eligible to sign a professional co...

MANCHESTER United striker Marcus Rashford came to the aid of one of the world’s sexiest footballers on a night out He asked staff at a nightclub to usher Aston Villa’s  Swiss international   Alisha Lehmann, 24 , to his VIP section when she was mobbed by blokes as she arrived. A source at Chinawhite  Manchester  said of his gesture earlier this month: “ Marcus  cleared a table and invited her and her friends to join them. "She thought he was a gent.” Alisha, who has  dated men and women  in the past, brought out her first raunchy calendar last Christmas. It is said to have caused friction with her ex  Luiz, 24 , before  they split . She is regularly described as one of the world’s hottest footballers - and boasts nearly 13 million fol...

ERIK TEN HAG has told Manchester United chiefs: Get me a No9.

The Red Devils are determined to land England captain Kane — with Tottenham demanding £100million. And the Old Trafford club could soon be flush with cash if Sheikh Jassim, who wants Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar, buys the club in a £5.5BILLION takeover. SunSport understands United stars are desperate for the Glazer family to sell up to end the negative atmosphere and boost their squad with world-class signings. United fans sang about signing Kane in their 2-2 draw at Spurs on Thursday — after their boss Ten Hag had called him “a great player and personality”. And now Ten Hag says:  “Everyone knows and it is not a secret that long-term and over a whole season we had a shortage of No9s. “We had the drop out of [Cristiano] Ronaldo, then Anthony Martial was often not available, Jadon Sancho often not available, then you have a shortage of front line players. “We have players who can play the role but definitely we need some offensive players who are impact and qual...

Fans joke Man Utd goalmouth scramble is something out of ‘Sunday league’ as Savage says ‘What on earth is going on!?’

FOOTIE fans likened a goalmouth scramble in Manchester United's Europa League clash with Sevilla to 'Sunday league' football. The Red Devils travelled to the Ramon Sanchez Pijuan stadium on Thursday night looking to progress to the semi-finals of the tournament. But they were under the cosh for large portions of the second leg of their quarter-final tie - which they ended up losing 5-2 on aggregate. And a scramble in front of David de Gea's goal in the 51st minute epitomised how badly United defended on the night. A blocked header from Youssef En-Nesyri sparked pandemonium inside United's six-yard box - with Lucas Ocampos having a shot blocked on the line. Two more Sevilla players dived in to try and bundle the ball home but were met with fierce resistance on the line from Diogo Dalot. And United eventually managed to clear their lines through Casemiro - although it wasn't long before they were back under pressure. Fans watching the game couldn't quite belie...

Ten Hag rips into his Man Utd team after shocker in Sevilla blasting ‘not composed, not calm...

The Red Devils completely collapsed in Sevilla, going down 3-0 to lose their Europa League quarter-final tie 5-2 on aggregate. Ten Hag said: “We have to face it that we let ourselves down and let the fans down and if you want to win trophies if you want to be successful you need character. “Tonight was not good enough it was obvious, it was clear, we didn’t match the standards you can expect from a team from Manchester United.” Ten Hag was asked if the most disappointing thing was the lack of fight in his team. He said: “I have to acknowledge, it is the truth, it is hard, it is tough. It can’t be, it is unacceptable We have to start games better with more desire and when you get a setback you have to deal with it and carry on “We have to be better and it is not about playing skills, it is about character and being composed and have desire and passion. "We lost the battles, they had more passion, more desire, more willingness. "It can’t be and I think it is unacceptable.

Ten Hag praises De Gea as the ‘complete goalkeeper’ as Man Utd push to reduce his wages on new deal

ERIK TEN HAG has hailed No 1 David de Gea as the “complete goalkeeper” despite his Manchester United contract stand-off. The  Red Devils  boss is determined the club reach an agreement with the Spanish shot stopper to keep him beyond this season. De Gea , 32, has been at Old Trafford for 12 years after joining from Atletico Madrid. His current contract runs out this summer and United want to reduce his wages from £375,000 a week to £200,000 but the player is refusing to sign. Ahead of United’s Europa League quarter-final second leg  against Sevilla  on Thursday night,  Ten Hag  said: “David is a really multi-functional and complete goalkeeper. We are very happy with him.’’ The Dutchman also highlighted how important De Gea is amid the keeper’s uncertain future and question marks over his distribution. He said: “Everyone has their own particular style and nowadays in possession, it becomes more important, especially at the top lev...

Two late own-goals from Man Utd blew their Europa League tie against Sevilla wide open

Manchester United take on Sevilla at Old Trafford in the first leg of the Europa League quarter-final on Thursday night. United have already defeated Barcelona and Real Betis, who are above Sevilla in the La Liga table, in the Europa League this season and they are heavy favourites to win the competition for the second time since it was rebranded. United looked to be in cruise control in the quarter-final clash thanks to Marcel Sabitzer's double. Sevilla have struggled this term and they sit in the bottom half of La Liga. They recently sacked Jorge Sampaoli and Jose Luis Mendilibar, who has managed multiple teams in Spain throughout his career, has taken charge. United had never previously beaten Sevilla but they went in front on the quarter-hour mark when Sabitzer collected a pass from Bruno Fernandes, spun defender Marcao and finished powerfully from 15 yards. Sabitzer doubled his tally moments later with a cool one-on-one finish past keeper Bono following a defense-splitting pa...

Crystal Palace planning huge summer transfer overhaul with Man Utd and Chelsea stars targeted and Zaha future in doubt...

CRYSTAL PALACE are preparing to spend big in the summer to reboot their long-term plan after sacking Patrick Vieira. Vieira had replaced Hodgson in 2021 as they looked to move to the new level, investing in a number of younger more attacking players. After a successful first season, including an FA Cup semi-final, Vieira failed to kick on in South London and Palace are preparing another push this summer. There have been tensions in the boardroom over the level of spending in recent windows, with some feeling more should have been done to help Vieira in January. However, there is a feeling everyone is close to being on the same page ahead of the summer. And while there is also a new manager to appoint, with Hodgson currently in the gig until the end of the season, a list of targets are being drawn up. The Eagles are keen to bring in new faces along the entire back four, to cover and compete with their existing options. Academy product Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who joined Manchester United in ...

Christian Eriksen will be in Man Utd squad for Everton game as Erik ten Hag rages at Andy Carroll’s horror lunge

It was feared the midfielder would be out for the season with an ankle injury after a challenge by Andy Carroll in the Red Devils' FA Cup encounter with Reading. Erik Ten Hag speech It is a tackle that still clearly angers the United boss as he lost one of his main playmakers at a crucial stage of the season. 👲 Ten Hag said: “It was a really bad tackle and a really bad injury, it's settled and now we are very happy with that. “I think it was not for nothing, I was so angry about that bad tackle. “We first feared we had lost him for the whole season, but he has worked really well and the medical department did very well. He's returning to the squad and is available for the final stages of the season, so we are very pleased with that.” But Man Utd will be without Luke Shaw, who came off in the first half of the win over Brentford on Wednesday, seemingly with a tight hamstring. Ten Hag was pleased with that victory, having criticised his side for a lack of passion and deter...

MARC Man Utd Starting Eleven player ratings: Rashford shines as main striker against Brentford but it was no surprise Sancho was hauled off

MARCUS RASHFORD'S 15th Premier League goal this season sunk Brentford to put Manchester United back in fourth place, but a massive night for Jadon Sancho didn't go so well - as the frontman was subbed after being recalled in place of Wout Weghorst. Rashford's sensational form means he now has 28 goals in all competitions. But there are question marks over Luke Shaw following a new injury worry. Here's how the Red Devils rated man by man after a 1-0 home win. DAVID DE GEA – 7 One moment of madness as he booted a clearance straight at Toney but was relieved to see it fly wide. DIOGO DALOT - 6 Got the nod despite Wan Bissaka returning to the squad with ten Hag admitting there is little to choose between the pair.  Did what he had to do defensively and linked up effectively with Antony down his flank. LISANDRO MARTINEZ - 7 Acrobatic clearance late in the first half showed what he is all about. As Brentford pushed for an equaliser he made another vital interception from a cr...

Huge Man Utd injury boost with Christian Eriksen returning to first team training as Ten Hag gives update on return

The Danish star has been missing since the end of January after he was poleaxed by a reckless challenge by Reading's Andy Carroll in an FA Cup tie at Old Trafford  The tackle had big ramifications on United and left them to dive into the transfer window on deadline day to land Marcel Sabitzer as a replacement. But Erik ten Hag has confirmed that Eriksen is back in training and could be back soon. But the Dutchman said his recovery won't be quick enough to see him take part in their next game against Brentford. He said: "Not for tomorrow but he’s returning on the pitch. He’s returned to team training today, so we have to see now how quickly he can make the progress." While Eriksen, 31, won't be back to face his former side, Casemiro will be available after serving his suspension for a red card against Southampton last month. Ten Hag revealed his happiness and getting both stars back. He added: "Two quality players. The midfield department, games will be decide...

Luke Shaw is petulant and can’t be trusted while lacking maturity, slams Man Utd legend Paul Parker

The left-back signed a new four-year contract this morning, committing his future to Old Trafford until 2027 Parker isn't thrilled, however, as he reckons that Shaw can't be relied on to be mature when the chips are down. Sharing his reservations with BonusCodeBets, Parker said: "When Man United are struggling and the results have not gone their way, Shaw has reacted by being petulant and his performances have been very disappointing. "We are talking about a player who is England’s left full-back so you would expect mature performances and a mature behaviour but you are not getting that from him. "When I’m watching him I get this playground feeling. "He feels like he is the best player on the team and if it’s not going his way he wants to pick up the ball and go home. "That’s the way he is and he ends up kicking people. "Against Liverpool he tried to get a red card in the last 15 minutes. He wanted to get sent off and I got the same feeling against...

Manchester United hold players-only meeting after 'unacceptable' defeat

Frustrated  Manchester United  players held a meeting without manager Erik ten Hag after they were humbled in a  2-0 loss  to  Newcastle United  on Sunday, said defender  Luke Shaw , who gave a brutally honest assessment of his team. I'm not going to go too much into that, but the players had a bit of a chat in the changing room after with no staff around," Shaw told Sky Sports after the match. "Because it's down to us players on the pitch, and it was nowhere near good enough. "We had to speak out in front of each other." Newcastle leapfrogged Man United into third in the  Premier League  standings, and exacted a measure of revenge over their visitors after a 2-0 loss to them in the League Cup final in February. "We were disappointed with the final," said  Callum Wilson , who along with  Joe Willock  scored Newcastle's goals on Sunday at St James' Park. "It left a sour taste in our mouth. We had to put it right in ...

Ten Hag surprised by United performance in defeat at Newcastle

Erik ten Hag was surprised Manchester United's players failed to match the intensity of Newcastle in their 2-0 defeat on what he admitted was "not a good day". Newcastle had 22 attempts to United's six in a dominant performance that lifted them above Ten Hag's team into third place in the Premier League table. United beat Newcastle 2-0 in the League Cup final five weeks ago and Ten Hag felt that was a source of motivation for the hosts and Luke Shaw said Newcastle "wanted it more". "I was surprised that we couldn't match the determination and the passion of the opponent. And I think you know before when you travel to St James' Park and Newcastle what will be going on, especially after we won the cup. So if you want to win big games you have to be mature and I didn't see that today."
